Jeremy is our Therapy Department manager. He graduated with his Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Jeremy has been providing therapy services for LaVerna Village since 2002. In 2008, we were fortunate to gain his services full time, as we brought our therapy services in-house.
Jeremy is a native of Andrew County, currently residing in Rosendale.

Julie is our Occupational Therapist. She graduated with her masters degree from Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin in 1998. Since returning home from school, Julie has spent the majority of her time working in Geriatric Rehabilitation. Most recently, she spent 3 years at Heartland working as an Occupational Therapist, before joining LaVerna's in-house therapy staff in 2008. She has been a great addition to the team. Julie just completed additional training on Lymphedema care and management.
(Lymphatic obstruction is a blockage of the lymph vessels that drain fluid from tissues throughout the body and allow immune cells to travel where they are needed. Lymphatic obstruction may cause lymphedema, which means swelling due to a blockage of the lymph passages.)
Julie is a native of Savannah, MO and currently resides in Helena, MO.
LaVerna Village offers in-house Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy and Speech Therapy Services to meet the needs of our residents.

- Full kitchen available for home management and safety assessment.

- A restorative program for maintenance of all individual's mobility.
- Outpatient appointments are available
- Private rooms for our short-term skilled residents (as space allows)
Thomas W. Alderson, M.D., serves as Medical Director for LaVerna Village. He provides quality direction of all resident medical care services and programs. 24/7 INTAKE
Laverna Village has also recently expanded the Physical & Occupational Therapy Department.
This new space will allow for shower access, before and after pool use, as well as, locker space for all personal belongings.
The Occupational Therapy Department now offers all new home living space. This setting will allow for more realistic performance and preparation toward returning home. This will include a full kitchen and washer and dryer.
Therapy patients and their families will now have direct access to the Therapy Department from the lower parking lot behind LaVerna Village. There is a new entrance on the southwest side of the building.
Laverna Village has three therapy staff members with over 30 years of experience which allows us to offer the best inpatient and outpatient therapy in the area. We will get you home fatster after an injury or illness.
