Winter? What winter?

I looked back at the comments I had written exactly one year ago and cannot believe the difference in my thoughts. At this time last year we were questioning if winter would ever come to an end and now we are wondering if winter will ever start. It is amazing how a slight change in perspective can alter our entire outlook and mood.

LaVerna Village tries to keep this in mind as we work to help our residents through the transitions they make during their time as part of our family. There are moments, both for our residents and staff, that we feel as if the difficult times may never end or the challenges are too great. What we all need to remember is that the sun will shine again and sometimes we may be left asking why we are so lucky to have a mild “winter” when others still have challenges yet to overcome.

I am grateful that LaVerna Village has seen such growth and overcome so many challenges over the last several years to become the most amazing group of residents, families, and staff imaginable. Our future is bright. Our Spring is here.
